As you may have noticed, the P1 SIM brand is now officially part of the Push Lap Garage project. It is a great honor to collaborate with such an innovative company while also benefiting from the valuable technical data of RS Simulation, a leader in professional simulator technology. For this first experience, I had the chance to receive the Mistral pedal set to explore its features.
Express Delivery
P1 SIM chose to give me the same purchasing experience as any regular customer. To my surprise, the delivery was extremely fast!
My order was confirmed on Wednesday morning, and by Friday evening, my pedal set had already arrived. However, since each unit is hand-assembled, delivery times may vary depending on demand. P1 SIM is actively working to minimize these delays as much as possible. A turnaround of just two days quite impressive, especially considering that I live over 1200 km from the shipping location. The delivery was handled by UPS.
Of course, this delivery time may vary depending on several factors, but it is clear that P1 SIM is committed to providing fast and efficient service.
Thoughtful Packaging
Is packaging important? Some might say no, but I believe that quality packaging enhances the premium experience and immediately reassures the buyer. Here, attention to detail is evident.
The pedal set is protected by pre-cut foam, ensuring optimal protection during transport. It is clear that every aspect has been meticulously considered.
A Product with Exceptional Finish
I received the two-pedal version of the Mistral in gray, along with heel rests that look fantastic. These components, made from genuine carbon fiber, impress not only with their lightweight nature but also with their high-end finish, worthy of a professional racing workshop.

And what about the pedal set itself ? From the first touch, the build quality stands out. Made of aluminum, it exudes robustness and precision. One particular detail caught my attention: the PCB board, which is carefully hidden under a carbon plate. This smart protection enhances durability while ensuring a sleek and refined finish.
Unique Integration of Haptic Motors
One of the biggest strengths of the Mistral is its haptic feedback system. P1 SIM is the only manufacturer to integrate these motors discreetly. Unlike other brands, which add external modules that can be unsightly, here, everything is neatly hidden under a plastic cover. This choice offers several advantages:
- Better aesthetic integration—no protruding external module.
- Increased protection against dust and impacts.
- A sleek design that stays true to the racing competition spirit.
This attention to detail proves that P1 SIM leaves nothing to chance.
Installation on My Playseat F1
Let’s talk installation! To add a little challenge, I decided not to use the optional mounting plate sold by P1 SIM and instead mount the pedal set directly onto my Playseat F1 chassis.
Good news: the original mounting points allow the Mistral to be installed without any drilling or modifications! This ease of installation is a great advantage.

Installation Tips
Plan your cable management before mounting to avoid having to redo everything.
Connect all cables before securing the pedal set, saving time and effort.
Use the foam provided in the packaging to protect your workspace.
Feel free to remove the elastomers from the pedal set to gain more workspace for assembly.
Once installed, the final result is stunning. The combination of matte carbon, satin-finished aluminum, and glossy black paint gives a look worthy of a real racing prototype.
A Unique Experience
Although I have yet to fully test the Mistral’s performance, I can already say that it combines design, build quality, and performance. This product catches the eye, even of those who are not into sim racing!
I personally value aesthetics a lot. Working in an environment related to interior design, I always look for products that blend seamlessly into living spaces. This pedal set successfully achieves this balance.
